Virginia Verfurth is an abstract artist captivated by the beauty of intentional imperfection. She draws inspiration from her surroundings, blending contemporary and abstract styles which captivate the viewer with her unique style. She enjoys embracing the power of incomplete and irregular brushstrokes to tell a story.

Virginia creates visually stunning works that are both energetic and contemplative. Willing to go beyond traditional boundaries, Virginia combines neutrals with bold infusions of color, each placement conveying an emotion and inviting the viewer to experience a language beyond words. These bold strokes, crazy textures and diverse palettes are a pleasure to view, whether loud and proud or quiet and introspective.

Virginia is an emerging artist who thus far has shown at the Ardest Gallery in The Woodlands, at the Hyatt House Hotel in Conroe and at Hardy and Nance Studios in Houston. She has participated in many local outdoor markets, including Market Street, Art in the Woods, Art in the Park, and Grand Central Park Artisan Market. She continues to evolve as an artist as her journey into the world of acrylics unfolds with endless possibilities. After three fulfilling years as a full time creator, she has officially traded her nursing scrubs for paint splattered aprons and a collection of bushes. She is excited to continue forging this path for her future.

Virginia lives in The Woodlands with her husband, daughters and dogs. She enjoys reading, teaching ESL to adult learners and listening to podcasts in her free time. She also supports local young artists by volunteering her time and skills to The Woodlands High School Fine Arts Department.
