Creative expression has long been a quiet constant in the life of mixed media artist Nichol (Nikki) Hall, ultimately finding her voice through layered, intuitive work. Though her formal journey into fine art began only a few years ago, it was shaped by years of crafting, writing, and hands-on exploration. Largely self-taught, she approaches her practice with curiosity and trust in the process.
Her work evolved from fluid art techniques into a rich layering of mixed media practice incorporating collage papers, modeling paste, alcohol inks, and varied materials. She is drawn to the dialogue between mediums, the way they interact, resist, and reveal unexpected beauty through their union.
For her, art is a language beyond words. Each piece unfolds organically, guided by instinct and inspired by nature, light, and the quiet poetry of everyday moments. Through her evolving body of work, she invites viewers into spaces of reflection, texture, and quiet discovery. Her pieces are well-suited for both gallery exhibitions and private collections, offering richly layered narratives that continue to reveal themselves over time.
She is currently based in Austin, Texas. Her work can now be found at Art Machine Gallery and under Nikki Rene Artistry on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
