Abigail is a Mexican artist living in the USA, after living and working all her life in Mexico. She graduated with a degree in business Administration from the Instituto Technológico de Monterrey, she also has a degree in Preschool Education. She is a Montessori guide among other things, but what she really loves is art.

Following instincts that developed from growing up with an artist mother, showing great interest and creativity, she began painting classes and was always fighting for her own style. She used to say after class, “I didn’t do this, the teacher did it” (referring to the painting or drawing she made).

At the age of 24 she decided to take a risk and leave the family business to dedicate herself to art. That’s where she really starts to explore techniques and experiment with. textures. She is currently focused on spontaneity and flows with the process of generating and creating a piece, always looking for a meaning in each piece.

Abigail enjoys the process from the first drop of paint until she decides that the work is finished. She loves to paint in large format with mixtures of colors, textures and bright colors. With a 20-year career, she has experimented with techniques. What she uses most are dripping, spatula and this year she has experimented intervening furniture and clay.
“I owe this career to my mother for guiding me on this path and to the artist Cristina Zorilla for giving me the push I needed.”
